A banner for complimentary accounts
- NewA gentle banner at the top of the app whenever your account is complimentary — dismissible, so it never gets in your way.
The welcome tour moves to Help & Support
- ImprovedThe welcome tour now lives on the Help & Support page — replay it any time from there (it used to be tucked away in your account settings).
- FixedIf your account is complimentary — on the house — the Billing page now says so plainly, instead of showing a subscription warning or an old payment status.
A welcome tour for new users
- NewThe first time someone signs in, ChairPilot now walks them through the app in about a minute — what each screen is for and where to start. Owners and stylists each get their own version.
- NewReplay it whenever you like — “Replay tour” lives in My Account (click your name), and a “Don’t show this again” button retires it for good.
Complimentary access is now shown on Billing
- NewIf your account has been given complimentary access, Billing & Plan now shows it — including the date it runs through, so you always know when normal billing resumes.
Refer & Earn 🎁
- NewRefer & Earn — share your referral code or link from Billing & Plan. Friends who sign up with it get their first month free, and you earn a free month every time one of them subscribes. No limit.
- NewThe sign-up form now has an optional referral code field — referral links fill it in automatically.
Smoother sign-in
- ImprovedSigning in from the website now always takes you to the sign-in screen — no more landing back in the live demo.
- ImprovedAdded a “Back to website” link on the sign-in screen so you can return to the homepage after signing out.
Stay signed in
- ImprovedYou now stay signed in through server maintenance and updates — no more surprise logouts (the normal 12-hour session limit still applies).
A safer sign-up, answers up front
- ImprovedSigning up now confirms your email on your first sign-in (a 6-digit code is sent automatically), so your account is verified and secure from day one.
- NewThe website has a new FAQ and security overview, so you can see exactly how ChairPilot Pro protects your business before you start.
Clearer trial status
- ImprovedThe Billing page and dashboard now clearly show when your free trial has ended, so your account status is never a surprise.
- ImprovedWhen your trial ends, ChairPilot now takes you straight to Billing to pick a plan — your data stays safe and everything unlocks the moment you subscribe.

- ImprovedIf your subscription is canceled or a payment doesn’t go through, ChairPilot now takes you straight to Billing so you can choose a plan or update your card and get back to work — your data is always safe and waiting.
Stay in the loop & sign in safely
- NewA dismissable “What’s new” note now appears on your dashboard so you never miss an update.
- ImprovedFor security, each account now stays signed in on one device at a time — signing in somewhere new signs out the previous device.
Remember this computer
- NewNew “Remember this computer for 30 days” option at sign-in — skip the two-factor code on your own device for 30 days. Leave it unchecked on shared or public computers.

Out-of-stock guardrails at checkout
- ImprovedOut-of-stock products are dimmed at the register, and you’ll get a quick “sell anyway?” check if you ring up more than you have on hand.
Team hours, refunds & store credit
- NewSet each team member’s weekly working hours (and days off) on the Team page — the booking page only offers times they actually work.
- NewRefund any sale — back to the original card, as store credit, or recorded as cash — in full or part.
- NewStore credit: keep a balance on a client and let them spend it at checkout. Adjust it any time from their profile.
- NewOnline bookings can now collect a deposit — make it required to confirm, or optional.
Search everywhere & custom service categories
- ImprovedSearch and filter your inventory (by name, SKU or category) and your members (by name, plan or status).
- NewAdd your own service categories on the fly — pick “Other” when creating a service and name a new category that sticks around.
Automatic membership billing
- NewMemberships now bill automatically each cycle to the member’s card on file — every charge shows up in your sales.
- NewIf a member’s card fails, their membership is flagged “past due” and you’re emailed so you can follow up.
- ImprovedNew “Run billing now” button on the Memberships page to process anything due on demand.
In-person card readers
- NewConnect a card reader (Stripe Terminal or Square) and take tap, chip and contactless payments right at the chair — pick “Card reader” at checkout.
Cards on file, deposits & pay-by-link
- NewSave a client’s card on file and charge it at checkout — great for regulars and no-show fees.
- NewRequire a deposit at booking (a percentage or a flat amount) and collect it right from the appointment.
- NewSend a client a secure payment link by text or email to pay an open balance from their phone.
Choose your card processor — Stripe or Square
- NewConnect Stripe and/or Square to take card payments (and Apple Pay) at checkout — money goes straight to your own account.
- NewPick your default processor when you have more than one connected.
- ImprovedCard sales now record which processor handled them and a transaction reference for easy reconciliation.
Notification settings moved to Settings
- ImprovedYour email notification preferences now live on the Settings page, right next to your other business preferences.
Payouts, clearer setup & notification control
- NewConnect payouts to take card payments at checkout and bill memberships — money goes straight to your own bank account.
- NewChoose who gets which emails: owners get business alerts (cancellations, low stock) and team members get their own booking activity.

Pet Grooming joins Salons, Barbershops & Spas

- NewPet records — keep multiple pets per client, each with breed, size, weight, coat, temperament, vet contact and notes.
- NewVaccination tracking with expiry — rabies and more are flagged as current, expiring soon, or overdue on each pet’s profile.
- NewBreed & size-based pricing — grooming services can price per size (Small → XL), and both your calendar and booking page quote the right price automatically.
